An application to visualise locations
and key performance figures
for usage and yield of active solar plants.
Our client, the German market leader for solar plants, intended to provide an application for the iPhone and iPad, which could be used for the visualisation of the savings potential of state-of-the-art solar energy plants based on
‘Best Practice’ examples.
An integrated GoogleMaps link allows the search for national and international locations, where the supplier’s technologies are currently utilised. These include private households as well as large-scale projects, like the solar plant of the Vatican City State. A well-arranged user interface with performant diagram structures offers insights into the most important key performance figures of the projects found at a glance - including usage and yield by way of a return feed into the German power grid. Thus the annual savings potential for the Vatican City State for 2010, for example, would be an impressive EUR 114,848.23.
Technology
The app development was done in Objective-C. The application accepts the data for further processing via a web service interface from a PHP-based backend app.
Project Scope
In TradeSys was tasked with the entire project from start to finish.
