transparent and easy to understand
visual representation.
Objective
Our client’s software solution is aimed at energy suppliers of any size - from small and medium-sized local utility companies to large energy supply groups.
The aim is to visualise the benefits of smart metering for the consumer. The data warehouse applications of the relevant suppliers are integrated into customer-specific portals to display specific usage data - to some extent in real-time.
Features
Real-time comparisons and various diagrams inform the consumer of his current power, water, and gas consumption. Additional features, like a Budget Manager or usage check, are invaluable tools for the consumer to optimise his personal usage behaviour. Environmental analogies assist the consumer to better judge his own usage by way of known reference values.
Technology
A Java component library was developed for the base module of the portal, which can be easily adapted to the corporate design of the relevant client.
Project Scope
The portal itself was developed as a white label module, which formed part of a comprehensive solution for our client, a start-up company. InTradeSys designed and implemented the base module, and has since deployed a number of branded customizations.
